About Us

YANA offers a blend of group support and individual mental wellbeing support, tailored to meet the needs of those who face language and cultural barriers when accessing mainstream services. Participants are encouraged to shape their recovery journey through activities such as peer-to-peer circles, talking therapy, physical exercise, creative workshops, and goal-setting sessions. For those who need more tailored help, we also provide referrals to career advice, housing support, legal services, and culturally appropriate therapy and counselling.

Guiding journeys of recovery and resilience

YANA supports Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic (BAME) individuals across Coventry, Nuneaton, Bedworth, and Rugby who are struggling with their mental health due to trauma, abuse, violence, divorce, bereavement, and the challenges of migration. The programme creates a safe space where people can share their experiences, build resilience, and access mental wellbeing support and peer connections to begin their journey of recovery.

Testimonials

“I have been suffering from anxiety and withdrawal for a very long time. Via the group sessions, I realised I needed support and to have someone I can talk to regularly about how I feel. Being supported by a peer through YANA has tremendously helped me.”
